Partner terms
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These terms govern participation in the Monastic Growth Partners program operated by Monastic Marketing (“Monastic,” “we,” “us”). By applying to or participating in the program you (“Partner,” “you”) agree to them. They also cover your use of this website.
1. Joining the program
Participation is free and subject to our approval. We may accept or decline any application at our discretion. You must be at least 18, legally able to enter a contract, and able to receive payment in the jurisdiction where you live. Nothing here creates an employment, agency, partnership or joint venture relationship. You participate as an independent contractor and are responsible for your own taxes.
2. Registering a referral
A referral is credited to you when you submit the business through the partner form, by email, or another method we have agreed in writing, before that business has been contacted by us or entered our pipeline through any other route. We will confirm each registration in writing.
- If a business is already a Monastic client, already in an active sales conversation with us, or has been registered by another partner, it is not eligible and we will tell you.
- Where two partners register the same business, the earliest confirmed registration wins.
- A registration stays live for 180 days. If the business signs after that window without further involvement from you, it is no longer attributed to you.
- You may not register yourself, a business you own or control, or an existing client of ours.
3. Commission
- Commission is 15% of the net retainer revenue actually collected from a registered referred client, for every month that client remains active.
- There is no cap on the number of referrals, the duration of commission, or the total amount payable.
- “Net” means the retainer amount collected, excluding sales tax, VAT, third-party media spend, ad budget passed through to platforms, hardware, licence fees, and any amounts refunded, charged back or written off.
- Commission is calculated on the actual retainer paid, so it rises and falls with changes to the client’s scope.
- Retainer amounts, scope and services are determined between Monastic and the client in consultation. Retainers typically range from $500 to $20,000 per month. Monastic alone sets pricing and scope.
- If a client pauses and later resumes within 90 days, commission resumes with them. After 90 days, the engagement is treated as new and is not attributed to you unless we agree otherwise in writing.
4. Payment
Commission is paid monthly in arrears, after the client’s payment has cleared, to the payment method you provide. We will issue a statement showing the clients and amounts included. You are responsible for supplying accurate payment and tax details, and for any tax arising on what you earn. We may withhold payment where tax documentation is outstanding or where a payment is disputed, refunded or reversed.
5. Milestone rewards
Rewards are in addition to commission and do not reduce it. A referral counts toward a milestone once the client has signed and remained an active paying client for at least 90 consecutive days.
- 1 qualifying referral: one website built for your business, or one GSD CRM account, at your choice.
- 3 qualifying referrals: any one service we offer, delivered for your business for six consecutive months.
- 5 qualifying referrals: all services we offer, delivered for your business for twelve consecutive months.
Rewards are personal to you and your business, cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for cash, and must be claimed within 12 months of being earned. Reward work is scoped reasonably, follows our normal delivery process and timelines, and excludes third-party costs such as advertising spend, domains, hosting, licences, stock media and paid distribution, which remain yours to pay. Website rewards cover a standard build from our templates and process; e-commerce and custom software are out of scope unless we agree otherwise in writing. “Unlimited” means we will work on your business continuously across our service lines during the reward period at a reasonable standard of service; it does not mean unlimited hours, unlimited deliverables or priority over paying clients.
6. How you may promote us
You may describe the program honestly and introduce businesses you genuinely believe we can help. You may not:
- Make guarantees about results, revenue, rankings or pricing on our behalf.
- Represent yourself as an employee, agent or spokesperson of Monastic, or sign anything on our behalf.
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or anything that breaches anti-spam, telemarketing or privacy law.
- Bid on Monastic brand terms in paid search, or run ads that imply you are us.
- Use our name, logo or materials beyond describing the program, without written permission.
- Use misleading domains, cookie stuffing, incentivised sign-ups, or fabricated or self-dealt referrals.
Where the law requires you to disclose that you are compensated for a referral, including under the FTC endorsement rules in the United States, you must do so clearly.
7. Confidentiality
Client information, pricing, scopes and anything we share with you as confidential stays confidential, during the partnership and after it ends.
8. Ending the partnership
Either side may end participation at any time, with written notice. If we end it for convenience, commission continues on clients already referred and active, for as long as those clients remain active. If we end it because you breached these terms, including fraud, misrepresentation or misuse of client data, outstanding and future commission on affected referrals may be forfeited, and unclaimed rewards are cancelled.
9. Website use
The content, design, logos and mascot artwork on this site belong to Monastic Marketing and may not be copied or reused without permission. Figures shown in the earnings calculator are illustrative projections based on the rate and inputs you select; they are not a forecast, a quote or a promise of earnings. Actual earnings depend entirely on referrals that sign and stay.
10. No guarantees
We make no promise that any referral will convert, that any client will stay for a given period, or that you will earn any particular amount. The site and the program are provided “as is” to the fullest extent the law allows.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, neither side is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits or lost opportunity. Our total liability to you in connection with the program is limited to the commission paid or payable to you in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes to commission or rewards take effect 30 days after we notify active partners by email, and commission already earned is not affected. Continuing to participate after that date means you accept the change.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [state/country], and the courts of [jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
